The open, standards-based EMICS architecture interfaces with other county and city information technology applications and control systems such as public television, weather data, ITS, or geographic information systems.
EMICS is designed specifically to address the law enforcement and emergency response communications issues of interoperability and outage.
Each EMICS implementation is delivered as a custom system and will be tailored to meet customer requirements.
EMICS can be deployed in a wide variety of implementations. Such implementations can range from an EMICS server with customer provided infrastructure to a full EMICS solution.
A sample Basic EMICS configuration might include:
- Installed in a Ford E250 Van
- Two modified repeaters (VHF, UHF, 800MHz, or 900mGz
- Realm radios total of 20
- V36 PBX with ten (10) VoIP phones, ten (10) analog phones, and an unlimited licensing plan
- Cisco router, network switches
- EMICS Carrier Grade V36 Server,
- Satellite transceiver, Life Line data subscription
- 6500k diesel generator
- Training and support
A sample Full EMICS implementation might include:
- 36 foot Mobile Command Unit or Ford E350 Van
- Four Vertex repeaters (2 UHF/ 2 VHF) and an 800MHz trunk system
- 40 Realm radios
- V36 PBX, two (2) Wi-Fi units and a Nextel Repeater with 20 VoIP phones, 20 analog phones, 10 Wi-Fi phones and an unlimited licensing plan
- 2 Cisco routers and 4 Cisco switches with fiber interceptors
- EMICS Carrier Grade V36 Server
- Satellite transceiver with Life Line data subscription
- 2 6500k generators and 2 A/C unites
- Training and support
